The mission of Aurora Rise is simple. We will try to help make the days ahead of those affected by Century 16 Aurora theater shooting on July 20, 2012, a little bit brighter. We will continue this effort so that no one will ever be forgotten and so that the public will never forget.
Aurora Rise is a Section 501(c)(3) non profit charitable organization founded in the wake of the Century 16 Aurora theater shooting on July 20, 2012. It has been created by victims to help other victims with small acts of assistance and kindness. Types of assistance that Aurora Rise might cover include but are not limited to:
- Gift cards to provide gas for travel to appointments;
- Assistance with groceries costs;
- General financial aid for those still suffering the financial after-effects;
- Memorial scholarships.
Major life changes and/or major medical assistance are something that is out of the scope of this type of charitable organization. Aurora Rise Board Members will review every assistance submission and will work directly with the victims to determine how we can best be of assistance.
Our goal is to do things to make someone’s day a little better and remind those affected by the Century Aurora Theater Shooting that there are people still out there who care. In memory of those that we lost, Aurora Rise will establish scholarship programs to ensure the public will never forget.
